Robbers Steal from Three Ibadan Communities

Armed robbers have reportedly seized valuables worth hundreds of naira from residents of Alaja, Seriki, and Ogogo communities.

The Nigerian Tribune Newspaper states that this event occurred around 8 am on Tuesday.As per reliable information, this occurrence has sent shockwaves through the entire communities located in the Akinyele local government area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Eyewitnesses have disclosed that the robbers, armed with dangerous weapons, issued threats of violence to their victims, warning them against resistance. At gunpoint, the victims were robbed of their possessions, including mobile phones, jewelry, and other valuables.

A community leader, Raji Kazeem has confirmed the incident, stating, “Yes, it is true. The armed robbers arrived in the middle of the night and targeted several houses, prompting discussions among landlords and landladies in various groups.”

Efforts to contact the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, at the time of this report were unsuccessful.
