Air Force helicopter crashes in Niger

Nigerian Air Force helicopter has crashed,naf authorities verified incident, says it M1-171 helicopter.

The authority said the helicopter was on casualty evacuation mission, and it crashed on monday, the fourteenth of August, about one pm close to Chukuba village in Niger state.

The director of public relations and information, Air commodore Edward Gabkwet, said the aircraft left Zungeru primary school going to Kaduna. Later discovered crashed close to chukuba village in shiroro local government area of Niger state.

He said efforts are being made to ensure the crew and passengers on board are rescued.

He said investigation is on to checkmate the cause of the crash
