Ede Poly emerges 6th best Polytechnic in Nigeria by 2023 Webometrics ranking

The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, has been ranked the 6th best Polytechnic in Nigeria by the 2023 ranking of Webometrics, for its academic excellence and stable academic activities among other considerations.

The ranking analysis indicated that the citadel of learning, which proudly parades over 80 PhD holders with global academic reckoning, performed better than many notable universities in Nigeria.

Recall that two students from the Polytechnic recently clinched second and third positions respectively in the Students’ Projects competition organized by the Committee of Deans of Polytechnics and Colleges of Education, in which they were selected to represent the South West zone in Abuja.

Meanwhile, The Rector of the Institution, Engr. Dr. Man Yahaya Sani, had congratulated the Polytechnic Community through a felicitation letter signed by the institution’s Protocol, Media and Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal, mnpr, a copy which was made available to newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo,

The Rector commended the resilience, doggedness and total commitment on the part of members of staff since he assumed the mantle of leadership on Monday 2nd January, 2023.

He added that the enviable feats the schools had attained since then were total reflection of the collective efforts of every member of the Polytechnic community, and a testament to spirit of cordiality and cohesion among management, members of staff and students alike, urging them to sustain the tempo.

Engr. Dr Man Yahaya, also used the medium to appeal to the students to take their studies serious and be a good ambassadors of the institution wherever they found themselves in future.

He said, management is committed to providing enabling environment for learning and the students must reciprocate the gestures for the upliftment of the institution.
