3 Dies, 25 to Face Sanction as 2,045 Corps member Pass Out in Kwara

Having served for one year in Kwara state, not less than two thousand and fourth five corps member will be passing out in the state on thursday.

Meanwhile it has be reported that three of the Corps members have died during the period of Serving in the state while 25 of them will be facing saction for violating rules and regulations of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC),
The Corp members are under the 2016 Batch B Stream 1 serving in Kwara State.

Mr. Oladipo Morakinyo, the Kwara State NYSC Public Relations Officer (PRO), made this known in a statement issued in Ilorin today.

He stated that while some of the erring members abscond from the service, others contravened the NYSC laws.

“They were sanctioned for various offences committed during the service year; some out rightly absconded from the service, while others contravened various sections of the NYSC bye laws.

“A total of 2, 045 corps members will have their Passing Out Parade (POP) on Thursday November 2 following the completion of their mandatory one year national service in the State.”
Morakinyo however emphasised that the Passing Out Parade (POP) ceremony would be low-keyed. Added that adequate preparation have been made to issue certificate of National Service to the deserving corps members at selected locations across the State.

He also said three corps members that distinguished themselves during the service year have been nominated for the NYSC State Honours Award, while another eight will receive State Coordinator’s commendation certificates.
