2023: Oyo NSCDC begins sensitisation of citizens

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it has commenced Security Summit to sensitize the public on modality of securing and protecting their lifes and properties.

According to a statement signed by the Commands Spokesperson, and made available to NATIONAL TELESCOPE the command reiterated its commitment to ensure protection of the society.

Speaking during the summit, the Oyo State Commandant of NSCDC CC Aderalewa Micheal who was ably represented by the 21c of the command,DCC Ete Femi revealed to the people of Ogbomosho that Security of lives and properties are basically the duty of all citizens of the country.

He stated that all Stakeholders in security network of the state needs to be proactive in securing their community as “we can not leave the protection of our lives in the hand of Security agencies alone”.

He disclosed that in order to support the Security architecture of the state a Non Governmental Organisations Safe Harbor International has repaired an operational vehicle for the Area C command as a way of supporting NSCDC in their fight against crime and criminality in the land.

“Let’s join hands together to unite and protect our dear country” Said the state commandant.

The highlight of the summit was the presentation of the repaired Operational Vehicle which was handed over to the Second in command of NSCDC in Oyo State for the use of the Area command to protect the citizen of the state.
