2023: NSCDC advocates peaceful campaign

Ahead the commencement of campaign for the 2023 presidential election, the Oyo State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adaralewa Micheal has charged politicians to embrace peace and conduct during the campaign activities.

In a statement made available to NATIONAL TELESCOPE, the Commandant said, ‘’The politician to embrace peace and know that they can not govern over the dead’’

While enjoining all Stakeholders in the state to be God fearing in discharging of their duties, he charged officers not to comprise in the discharge of their duties.

“He also enjoined the traditional rulers, Baale, Community Leaders, Religious Leaders and Landlords Associations to warn their subjects to conduct themselves in a manner that would not bring violence before, during and after the election.

“Political parties should inform the security agencies of their Campaign programme in other to provide adequate security at the campaign ground and also to maintain Peace, Protection of life’s and National Assets of the country.

“Commandant Adaralewa also enjoined the Political parties to go by the rule stated by INEC on campaign guidelines because anyone found doing anything against the guideline will be dealt with according to the law.”
