2019 Convention: Ekiti NANS gets new Executives

Following the 2019 National Convention of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee (JCC) Ekiti Axis held at the Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, new executives has been elected to run the affairs of the association in the next administration.

Among those elected into office is a student of the Ekiti State University, Ogunleye Abiola Johnson as the Chairman, Raji Sobur Kewulere from Federal University Oye-Ekiti, emerged the Vice Chairman.

Others are: Lasisi Ojo Samuel, a student of Federal University Oye-Ekiti emerged as the Director of Campus Affairs and his counterpart Salawudeen Kamorudeen Alade as Director of Special Duties. A student from Federal Polytechnic Ado Moshood Abiola emerged as Treasurer. Owaraye Damilola Emmanuel PRO  etc.

Speaking at the event, the newly elected Chairman Ogunleye Johnson said the administration will maintain a high level commitment towards promoting the interest of the union.

While appreciating the students for their support, he said he will place priority “to restore the power and beauty of students unionism in Ekiti State.”

In the same vein, the Newly elected Chairman Raji Sobur Kewulere who lauded the convention, pledged to ensure all policies and programmes in the interest of the at levels.

Earlier in his speech, the out-going chairman of the assoication, Olomosola Olubunmi, enjoined the newly executives to improve upon the current development inplace in the state and lead with desire for great achievement before the expiration of their tenure.

“There are challenges coming your way as you take the mantle today but you need to be focus. It is not an easy task, but don’t be moved by the storm”, he said.

“What I experienced from the government and how I stayed strong is enough to guide them” he concluded.

The convention had in attendance past student leaders, student union executives of each tertiary institution in the state and other stakeholders.
